New versions of software from TSW requires the Microsoft .NET Framework to run. By installing the framework, you will be able to run software from other vendors as well. This page will bring you more information, as well as try to help you figure out whether or not you have the proper version of the .NET Framework installed.
The Header test
If you're using
Internet Explorer, this page might be able to detect whether or not you have the proper version of the Microsoft .NET Framework installed. If you're currently not using Internet Explorer, try loading this page in IE, or have a look below for instructions on how to manually check whether or not you have the correct version installed.
.NET Framework was NOT detected on your computer. Please download the .NET Framework 2.0 (2.0.50727)!Based on the following header sent from your browser:
CCBot/1.0 (+http://www.commoncrawl.org/bot.html)
Please notice: If you're not using Microsoft Internet Explorer, the automatic test won't work. Please use the manual method described below!
Manually checking
Manually checking for the .NET framework is fairly easy. Open up the Windows Explorer and navigate to your
Windows folder (usually C:\Windows\). Now, see if you can locate a folder called
"Microsoft.NET". If you can, you may have one or more versions of the framework installed. Open up the
"Framework" folder, and look at the folder(s) within it. If a folder with the name
"v2.0.50727" is present, then it's very likely that you have the correct version of the .NET Framework installed! If not, then you need to install it, to be able to run the latest software from TSW as well as a load of other vendors.
